Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has deployed 10,999 personnel to support disaster response operations in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, focusing on rescue, security, logistics, and humanitarian assistance.
“The total INP personnel deployed reached 10,999, distributed across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra,” INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said during the Cabinet Plenary Meeting at the State Palace on Monday (15/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The operation involves Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) teams, trauma-healing units, and standby Brimob forces to assist affected communities. The INP has also mobilized air and sea assets, including helicopters, aircraft, and vessels, to reach isolated areas and deliver aid.
In addition, the INP have established dozens of evacuation posts, health services, and logistics centers, while deploying satellite communication units to ensure connectivity. The measures aim to accelerate emergency response, maintain public order, and support recovery efforts across the disaster-hit regions.
