Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Criminal Investigation Agency has detained four suspects over alleged forgery of land ownership (SHM) and building use rights (SHGB) certificates in Kohod Village, Tangerang Regency, Banten.
The suspects are Kohod Village Head Arsin, Village Secretary identified as UK, and two power of attorney holders, identified as SP and CE.
"We decided to detain all four suspects starting tonight," said Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, the INP Criminal Investigative Agency’s Director of General Crime, on Monday (24/2/2025).
The suspects were detained after questioning from noon to 8.30 pm. Detention aims to prevent escape, evidence destruction, or repeat offenses, according to antaranews.com.
From December 2023 to November 2024, the suspects allegedly fabricated various documents, including girik, land control statements, and non-dispute declarations. These documents enabled them to apply for land measurement and ownership certificates, resulting in the issuance of 260 SHM certificates of coastal areas under Kohod residents' names.
