Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara), Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, at the Presidential Palace on Monday (24/2/2025).

“I hereby launch BPI Danantara Indonesia,” Prabowo declared before pressing the launch button, flanked by former presidents Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. 

Former president Jokowi congratulated Prabowo immediately after the launch.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, former Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla, Boediono, and Ma’ruf Amin, also attended the event, joined by Minister of State-owned Enterprises Erick Thohir and Minister of Investment, and Danandatara CEO,  Rosan Roeslani.

Danantara will manage assets worth over USD 900 billion, with an initial projection of USD 20 billion.

Earlier the same day, President Prabowo signed key regulations establishing the agency, including amendments to the State-Owned Enterprises Law, a government regulation on Danantara’s governance, and a presidential decree appointing its supervisory and executive boards.
