Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Corps of Indonesian National Police (INP) will apply a situational traffic engineering measure known as "contra flow" during the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 holidays.
Inspector General Aan Suhanan, Head of the INP's Traffic Corps, announced the contra flow system in two phases from KM 47 in West Karawang to KM 87 in Subang.
In Phase 1, during the Christmas 2023 holiday, contra flow will be in effect on Friday (22/12) from 2pm to 12am, Saturday (23/12) from 8am to 12am, and Sunday (24/12) from 8am to 12am. Return traffic will be managed on Tuesday (26/12) from 2pm to 12am and Wednesday (27/12) from 8am to 12am.
Phase 2 will occur during New Year 2024, with outbound traffic on Friday (29/12) from 2pm to 12am and Saturday (30/12) from 8am to 12am. Return traffic will be facilitated on Tuesday (1/1) from 2pm to 12am and Wednesday (2/1) from 8am to 12pm.
He urged travelers to exercise caution, maintain heightened awareness on the roads, and underscored the importance of complying with field personnel.
