Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The Chief of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police Inspector General Raden Umar Faroq revealed that 87 Indonesian National Police (INP) personnel were involved in violating the laws throughout 2023. "Among 87 personnel involved in law violations, 82 have already undergone ethical hearings, 5 are still in the process, and 79 held the rank of brigadier," he said on Friday (22/12/23). The remaining individuals encompass a middle-ranking officer, 5 first-ranking officers, one enlisted rank, one private rank, and one from the INP civilian staff. However, no specific details were provided regarding ethical violation sanctions for those found in breach of INP regulations. One case under review involves Brigadier TO, accused of sexually assaulting a female student. He assured that the NTB Regional Police's Profession and Internal Affairs Division is overseeing the legal process for Brigadier TO's ethical violation. "The person is currently a suspect and is in custody at the detention center of the NTB Regional Police. We've been actively monitoring the case for the past three weeks," he stated. (ar/inp/pr/nm)
