Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) committed to expanding job roles for personnel with disabilities during a public discussion forum in South Jakarta on Tuesday (9/6/2026) to foster a more inclusive institution.
"The INP is determined to gradually expand these job opportunities in the future," said Brigadier General Erthel Stephan, the Head of Personnel Control at the INP’s Human Resources Staff. "However, the INP cannot do this alone. We require support from all national components to maximize the potential of our disabled colleagues within the organization."
The INP has continuously updated its regulations, organizational needs, and human resource competencies since launching the inclusive recruitment initiative in 2016. The current recruitment framework focuses primarily on individuals with physical and sensory disabilities.
The initiative received strong support from the National Commission on Disabilities (Komnas Disabilitas) and the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan), which praised the INP as a progressive model for other state institutions.
