The Directorate of Drugs Investigation of Indonesian National Police expand their search operation on Freddy Pratama, who lately revered by Indonesian, even Thai, as their equivalent of Escobar. Just recently, police apprehended hundreds of Freddy minions in Indonesia. In his statement, Deputy Director of INP Drugs Investigation Unit, Grand Commissioner Jayadi states that INP still continue their pursuit on Freddy with the cooperation from Interpol. Currently, police suspects that Freddy is now holding up in Thailand. "Our main priority now is Thailand, followed by its state neighbors. For now, we suspect that he's around Thailand, and we are now focusing on that. We also keep in touch with other states," he said quoted from Tempo, Thursday (9/14/2023). Just recently, INP has uncovered international drug syndicate with Fredy Pratama, also known as Miming or Casanova, as its mastermind. INP states that they have been in pursuit since 2020. In total, there are 408 police reports that have been uncovered with 884 perpetrators. Meanwhile, other 39 perpetrators have also been apprehended during Operation Escobar Indonesia since May 2023. For their crimes, all suspects will be charged with Law 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, and the Money Laundering Crime Law (TPPU). It is worth noting that in uncovering the case, INP is working with Royal Thailand Police, Royal Malaysian Police, and even DEA from United States of America.
