Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) held the 2023 Bela Negara (Defending the Nation) ceremony, attended by all units of the INP Headquarters, at the Bhayangkara Field in South Jakarta on Tuesday (19/12/2023).
During the event, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, the Head of the INP's Public Relations Division, delivered President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's message, emphasizing the collective duty to defend the nation amid increasing unpredictable challenges, including physical and visible threats.
"Pandemics, global conflicts, technological revolutions, and climate crises have impacted national resilience," he said, delivering President Jokowi speech.
In his address, the President urged the spirit of Bela Negara as a fundamental pillar for enhancing Indonesia's resilience and intelligence, ensuring readiness for any uncertain situation, saying, "The spirit of Bela Negara is not solely the responsibility of the defense apparatus; it requires active participation from all elements of society."
President Jokowi emphasized that Bela Negara encompasses all societal layers in daily life, with every small act expressing love for the nation, Pancasila, and the Unitary State of Indonesia.
"On the 75th anniversary of Bela Negara in 2023, I urge Indonesians to kindle the spirit of Bela Negara and deepen their love for the homeland," he said.
