Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Responding swiftly to the flood crisis in Demak and Kudus, Central Java, the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters has deployed 110 officers and essential humanitarian aid on Friday (22/3/2024). Among them are health workers, trauma specialists, disaster-trained policewomen, and INP Public Relations officers. Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, the Assistant to the INP Chief for Human Resources, outlined the mission's scope. Initially planned for three days, its extension hinges on ground conditions, aiming to complement ongoing efforts by the Central Java Regional Police. "Our teams, starting with trauma specialists, aim to bolster the mental resilience of affected refugees," he explained. INP medical teams will provide healthcare, while disaster response policewomen will support in field kitchens. Brigadier General Kristiyono, the Head of the INP Psychology Division, highlighted the severe impact on Demak. Essential supplies like instant noodles, bottled water, rice, cooking oil, and diapers have been dispatched, alongside psychological support including games for children and counseling for adults.
