Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) continue operating mobile public kitchens to serve disaster evacuees and deployed personnel in Aceh Tamiang and several locations in West Sumatra, ensuring food security amid ongoing post-disaster response efforts.
“These field kitchens are part of the INP commitment to stay present and ensure basic needs are met for communities affected by disasters,” said the Indonesian Communication Body (Bakom RI) in a statement as cited by antaranews.com on Friday (16/1/2026).
The kitchens operate at multiple evacuation posts, including the Aceh Tamiang Terminal and traffic posts, as well as Padang Pariaman, Palembayan District in Agam Regency, and other affected areas in West Sumatra. The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officers prepare and distribute meals daily, working in shifts to cook, serve, and maintain kitchen operations.
The initiative targets evacuees, schoolchildren, and officers on duty, supporting recovery efforts and maintaining operational readiness. The INP said the program will continue as long as emergency conditions persist, in coordination with local authorities and disaster management agencies.
