Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve security operation has begun with 129,923 police personnel deployed and scattered across the country. The report was announced by the Head Bureau of General Information of Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan on Thursday (12/21/2023).
“The centralized operation consists with seven task forces, including pre-emptive task force, ops task force, law enforcement task force, public relations task force, and others. Each of the task forces have their own respective duties in maintaining the holiday security,” says Ramadhan.
Moreover, Ramadhan says that INP has built 101,000 posts across Indonesia. The posts include security post, service post, and integrated post. INP also has designed a plan to monitor the traffic particularly for December 22nd and 26th.
“We also have a monitoring strategy during the peak hours of travel, particularly on December 22nd and December 26th. Based on the developing situation, we may have to implement a one-way strategy,” Ramadhan explained.
