Inp.polri.go.id - Bulungan. The North Kalimantan Regional Police held the Operation Lilin Kayan 2023 preparedness led by Brigadier General Kasmudi, Vice Chief of the North Kalimantan Regional Police, on Thursday (21/12/23).
The preparedness event saw the involvement of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of North Kalimantan Province, officials from the North Kalimantan Regional Police, and representatives from the Indonesian National Police (INP), Indonesian Military (TNI), and various relevant agencies.
In his address, the vice chief highlighted that Operation Lilin Kayan 2023 will span 12 days, running from December 22, 2023, to January 2, 2024, with the goal of ensuring the safety of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Explaining the security measures, he noted, "A total of 129,923 security personnel, including members of the INP, the TNI, and personnel from other agencies, are strategically stationed at 1,668 security posts, 670 service posts, and 113 integrated posts."
He further reassured that the TNI-INP and other relevant stakeholders are fully prepared to ensure the seamless flow of the festivities.
