Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) has proposed an additional budget of IDR 63.7 trillion for the 2026 fiscal year, as discussed in a budget meeting with Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Monday (7/7/2025).

The INP’s Chief Planning and Budget Assistant, Commissioner General Wahyu Hadiningrat, explained that the total budget proposal for 2026, based on a letter from the INP Chief dated 10 March  2025, is Rp 173 trillion. 

However, the indicative ceiling set for 2026 is only Rp 109.6 trillion, resulting in a shortfall of Rp 63.7 trillion.

ChiefWahyu broke down the proposed additional funds that include personnel expenditure, operational goods and services and capital expenditure.

Personnel spending will focus on new recruitment salaries and increasing performance allowances for 80% of the INP personnel and civil servants.

Operational costs will support enhanced law enforcement and public security services, including the expansion of new regional police offices in Central Papua and Southwest Papua, support for community policing, or Bhabinkamtibmas, command center maintenance, and border and remote island security.

Capital spending will prioritize electric vehicles, high-speed patrol boats, narcotics and cybercrime investigation equipment, the construction of new police stations and service facilities, and official housing for police officers.

In 2024, the INP spent Rp 136 trillion, or 97.49% of its allocated Rp 140 trillion. For 2025, as of 30 June 2025, Rp 69.1 trillion (or 48.67%) of the Rp 142.1 trillion budget has been spent.
