Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Narcotics Crime Directorate raided New Zone nightclub in Medan, North Sumatra, over suspected drug distribution early Saturday morning (23/5/2026).

“At 3.25 Wam, our joint team seized narcotics evidence at the scene,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, the Director of Narcotics Crime, as cited by antaranews.com.

Police detained 34 people, including the club’s owner, manager, staff, adult patrons, and minors. Urine tests revealed several tested positive for drug use. All detainees were transferred to the INP Criminal Investigation Agency’s headquarters in Jakarta for further questioning.

Chief Eko confirmed that details of the case will be released after examinations are complete. New Zone club has previously been linked to narcotics cases, including a 2014 arrest of an ecstasy dealer operating at the venue.
