Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has reiterated its full commitment to eliminating thuggery across the country through coordinated and sustained operations.
“Systematic operations will be continuously reinforced to build a lasting sense of security, in line with public expectations,” said Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, the INP Chief of Internal Supervision on Friday (30/5/2025), as quoted by antara news.com.
He emphasized that all police levels—from national headquarters to local offices—are engaged in the crackdown, guided by evidence-based policing and a commitment to fair and proportional law enforcement. Internal supervision will ensure public safety remains the highest priority.
The INP launched a nationwide anti-thuggery operation on 1 May 2025, under a directive ordering all regional and local police units to act against crimes like extortion, intimidation, assault, and illegal levies, as reported by antara news.com.
