Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and fostering development in Papua through a humane and community-focused approach.

Damai Cartenz Task Force Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo said on Wednesday (22/1/2025) that Tthe INP, in collaboration with the Indonesian Military (TNI) and local administrations, aims to protect the people while addressing the threats posed by armed criminal groups (KKB) that disrupt security and stability.

“Our mission in Papua is to protect and empower, not to create conflict. We prioritize dialogue, peaceful resolutions, and community development,” he said, responding to negative narratives surrounding the region.

Damai Cartenz Operation has launched initiatives like trauma healing, distributing school supplies, and empowering communities through health, education, and economic programs, reaching even the most remote areas.

Chief Yusuf also countered allegations against security forces, emphasizing their commitment to protecting civilians despite risks posed by KKB violence. He called for collaborative national and international support to foster peace and prosperity in Papua.

“Together, we can ensure Papua thrives in peace and unity,” he asserted.
