Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) have handed over a nine-year-old girl, identified as AMK, who suffered severe abuse, to his biological father in East Java.
“The child has been returned to his father and is now back in East Java,” said Brigadier GeneralNurul Azizah, the Director of the Women and Child Protection and Human Trafficking Division at the INP’s Criminal Investigation Agency, on Tuesday (309/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Despite the handover, officials confirmed the recovery of the girl, identified as AMK, remains under state care through the local Women and Child Protection Agency and the Ministry of Social Affairs. Schooling has also been arranged under coordination with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection.
The girl was found on 11 June 2025, in South Jakarta, severely injured and malnourished. Police named his mother, SNK (42), and her partner, EF alias YA (40), as suspects. Both face charges under the Child Protection Law and the Criminal Code, carrying up to eight years’ imprisonment.
