Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly denied any plans to normalize ties with Israel after a billboard campaign featuring President Prabowo Subianto’s photo alongside U.S. President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas went viral on social media.
“Indonesia’s position is very clear: there will be no recognition and normalization with Israel through the Abraham Accords or any other platform, unless Israel first recognizes a free and sovereign Palestinian state,” ministry spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang said on Tuesday (30/9/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The statement came in response to a billboard reportedly launched by the Israeli Coalition for Regional Security, a group of more than 120 senior Israeli security, policy, and economic leaders. The campaign urges support for Trump’s peace initiative, which it describes as a way to turn Israel’s military gains in Gaza into a diplomatic breakthrough.
