inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Irma Chaniago, a member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), noted the management of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) of the Indonesian National Police (INP) can be the example for the other kitchens.
Irma made this statement during a joint working meeting with the BGN and the Ministry of Health at the DPR RI Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/10/2025).
"In my opinion, it doesn't matter who the organizers are—politicians, the police, the military, or anyone else. What's more important is whether they are able or not," Irma said.
The NasDem Party politician revealed that, based on information she received, the INP currently oversees around 600 SPPGs. Of these, no cases of poisoning or similar issues have been reported.
"I heard the INP has around 600 SPPGs. According to my information, all of the kitchens managed by the INP are operating according to standards, so there have never been any cases," he explained.
Irma emphasized that the controversy surrounding MBG's kitchen ownership shouldn't be an issue. She believes the most important thing is the management's commitment to consistently implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
"We should stop politicizing this issue. The problem of this issue isn't who owns it, but whether that person is capable of taking responsibility," she stressed.
