Inp.polri.go.id – Intan Jaya. The joint force of military and police have successfully defended themselves in Intan Jaya Regency on Sunday January 21st, 2024 in a gun fight at Security Official Post. The commotion caused three members of Papua Armed Criminal Group suffered heavy injuries. The three members of Armed Criminal Group is part of Yoswa Maisani. Regarding the issue Head Ops of Damai Cartenz, Senior Superintendent Faizal Ramadhani explained Yoswa Maisani is a field commander who led the group and the group is known for their radical operation that kills civilians and security officials. Furthermore, the Damai Cartenz Ops Public Relations Chief, Superintendent Bayu Suseno confirmed that the information regarding the shooting is true and was also confirmed by their informant from Yoswa Maisani group. “Yes, it is true, our informant has reported that there are three Armed Criminal Members who were shot at their chest and foot,” says Bayu. “Here are the following names of the wounded armed criminal group, Oni Kobagau, Jaringan Belau, and Agustia,” Bayu adds. Unfortunately, Bayu told that during the gunfight, a civilian by the name of Yusak Sondegau was shot by the armed criminal group and died. Moreover, security officials by the name of Anumerta Alfando Steve Karamoy was also fell after trying to defend their post from the ambush. “Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force will continue to pursue and investigate the armed criminal group following the incident where they have killed one security members and a civilian,” Bayu said in his closing statement.
