"On Sunday, we collaborated with relevant parties to assess and implement necessary improvements. Safety remains our top priority," said the Minister on Monday (1/22/2024). The Minister addressed multiple railway incidents, including those involving the Turangga and Local Bandung Raya trains, the derailment of the Pandalungan train at Tanggulangin Station, and occurrences at level crossings in areas like Klaten, Banyuwangi, and Tebing Tinggi. Underlining the government's commitment, along with all stakeholders, to ensuring railway safety and maintaining public trust, especially among loyal users and railway enthusiasts, the Minister said, "We will persist in our efforts to enhance safety, ensuring the public feels secure and at ease while using trains.". Furthermore, the ministry has been actively collaborating with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing and local administration, to address concerns related to level crossings.
