The Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto have confirmed that the INP and TNI have been fully prepared for joint security efforts to secure the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) Summit and High-Level Forum on Multi Stakeholders Partnership in Bali from 1 to 3 September 2024.
Chief Listyo emphasized on Saturday (31/8/2024) the preparation of the forces, highlighting that special task forces have been deployed to address potential threats, including preventive and operational support units.
A special task force has also been established to monitor the Monkeypox (Mpox) virus, with screening measures in place for arriving delegates.
Traffic adjustments will be implemented around the summit venue to ensure safety and prevent congestion.
Chief Listyo apologized to Bali residents for any disruptions this may cause but assured that the measures are necessary for the smooth conduct of the summit.
Commander Agus added that 13,400 personnel, helicopters, warships, and F-16 jets are on standby around Bali to ensure the event's security.
