Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung.  Director General of Human Rights at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Dhahana Putra, emphasized the need for transportation companies like Gojek, Grab, and Blue Bird to respect the rights of their driver partners, including their right to voice concerns.

"Driver partners are integral to the business ecosystem, and their rights must be respected, including fair wages and transparent information," he said on Saturday (31/8/2024), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He responded to recent online motorcycle taxi driver protests, urging companies to comply with labor laws and resolve issues through constructive dialogue.

Dhahana highlighted the importance of responsible and sustainable business practices that protect workers' rights, including fair working conditions and access to social security. He stressed that open dialogue between companies and their partners is crucial for achieving fair solutions.

The government is currently promoting the implementation of human rights in business through Presidential Regulation No. 60/2023 on Business and Human Rights Strategy.
