Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo announced plans to integrate a “quick report” feature into popular ride-hailing apps, enabling drivers to instantly contact police in emergencies as part of efforts to strengthen public safety.
“The police will collaborate with ride-hailing platforms to add a fast-call feature so drivers can report incidents that require immediate response,” he said during the Ojek Daring Kamtibmas rally in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday (8/11/2025)..
Chief Sigit emphasized that online motorcycle drivers are strategic partners in maintaining order and preventing street crimes.
“The online driver community interacts with all levels of society and can play a key role in early crime prevention,” he added, as reported by antaranews.com
The INP are also working with the government to prepare a new presidential regulation on driver protection, including social security, work accident, and death benefits.
