Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) was fully prepared to oversee Labor Day celebrations nationwide on Wednesday (1/5/2024), ensuring security and order. 

Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information, underlined on Tuesday (30/4/2024) the significance of May Day in INP security agenda. 

INPi was committed to monitoring various activities, including public expressions and social initiatives, fostering cooperation for peaceful celebrations, he said. 

Chief Trunoyudo emphasized the importance of orderly conduct from workers to uphold public safety, according to antaranews.com

A number of labor unions planned large-scale demonstrations near the State Palace in Jakarta. 

Labor Day events extended beyond Jakarta, with regions like Bangka Belitung organizing prompt activities, Purwakarta regency hosting social programs and  Pekalongan conducting  a tripartite sports event. 

In addition, the Federation of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) labor unions has planned to conduct social actions and public discussions in commemoration of Labour Day.
