inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP) has prepared a checkpoint for passenger vehicles during the 2026 Eid homecoming period to ensure passenger safety.
The Head of INP Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, while reviewing the vehicle inspection checkpoint location at KM 81 of the Cikampek-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road, West Java, said that the inspection will focus on buses and travel vehicles, focusing on vehicle condition, driver health, and complete administrative documents such as driving licenses and vehicle registration certificates.
"The first priority is passenger buses and travel because they carry many people. The vehicles must be in good condition, the drivers are in prime condition, and the administration is complete," said Agus, Tuesday (2/24/2026).
He said that each regional police will prepare one checkpoint at the rest area to ensure safety standards are met from the start of the trip.
The inspection, said Agus, is carried out collaboratively involving the police, health workers, the Ministry of Transportation, and other relevant stakeholders.
Furthermore, the inspection was to ensure the security readiness for this year's homecoming traffic. "The state is here to ensure the homecoming journey runs safely until people reach their destinations," said Agus.
