Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) are directing their institutional transformation toward practical solutions that directly address community needs, the INP Chief Assistant of Operations Commissioner General Mohammmad Fadil Imran said.

“Our focus is to ensure the first officer on the scene is responsive, ethical, communicative, and solution-oriented to help, not complicate matters,” he said at the 2025 INP Year-End Briefing at the INP Headquarters on Tuesday (30/12/2025), as cited by antaranews.com.

Chief Fadil explained that the transformation prioritizes three operational foundations. First, frontliner and visible policing aims to strengthen rapid, professional police presence in daily public interactions. Second, crowd management now emphasizes dialogue, de-escalation, and precision, rather than physical control, to distinguish peaceful expression from real threats.

Third, policing in disasters ensures early and sustained police involvement from emergency response to recovery. Chief Fadil noted that during disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, the INP deployed personnel, heavy equipment, logistics aid, and clean water facilities.

He stressed that public trust is not an end goal but a responsibility that must be maintained through accountability and openness to criticism.
