Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) recorded a positive trend in public trust throughout 2025, as reflected in both international and domestic surveys, INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said.

“This data shows that public safety and trust in law enforcement are being felt directly by the community,” he said during the 2025 Year-End Briefing at the INP Headquarters on Tuesday (30/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

According to the 2025 Gallup Global Safety Report, Indonesia scored 89 on the Law and Order Index, which measures citizens’ sense of security and confidence in police performance. The survey also ranked Indonesia 25th out of 144 countries, with 83 percent of respondents feeling safe walking alone at night.

At the national level, a November 2025 Kompas Research and Development survey placed the National Police among the three most trusted state institutions, ranking first among law enforcement agencies with a 78.2 percent trust rate.

The INP Chief said the results would drive further reforms, faster complaint handling, and more professional service. He addressed the “no viral, no justice” perception, stressing that police must respond quickly to all reports, viral or not, to maintain public trust.
