Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s National Police (INP) handled 49,306 narcotics cases between October 2024 and October 2025, the first year of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, involving 65,572 suspects and seizing a total of 214.84 tons of drugs.
“From these operations, we confiscated various types of narcotics worth an estimated Rp29.37 trillion,” said INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo during a drug destruction event attended by President Prabowo at Bhayangkara Field, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The seized evidence included 186.7 tons of marijuana, 9.2 tons of methamphetamine, 2.1 million ecstasy pills, and other substances. Chief Sigit noted the operation likely prevented drug circulation that could have endangered more than 629 million lives.
“The INP remains committed to intensifying drug prevention and law enforcement with professionalism,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
President Prabowo’s presence highlighted his administration’s focus on protecting Indonesia’s younger generation from narcotics.
