Inp.polri.go.id - Pontianak. The West Kalimantan Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate disposed of 15 kilograms of methamphetamine evidence on Friday (19/0420/24).

Prior to the disposal, the methamphetamine underwent checks by the West Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office and the Food and Drugs Agency (BPOM) West Kalimantan. Once confirmed as narcotics, immediate destruction followed.

The 15 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized from a 35-year-old man, identified as ON, from Bengkayang regency in West Kalimantan.

ON was arrested by West Kalimantan Police Narcotics Directorate investigators on 22 March 202, around 4.15 am on Khatulistiawa Road, North Pontianak District, Pontianak.

He was caught with 15 kilograms of methamphetamine from Malaysia, destined for delivery in Pontianak.

Senior Superintendent Thelly Iskandar Muda, the Narcotics Director of the West Kalimantan Police, explained that ON was promised 3,000 ringgit per kilogram, totaling approximately Rp 135 million for the 15 kilograms of methamphetamine.

"However, he had already received around Rp 4 million for travel expenses upon delivery," he explained.
