Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has appointed Inspector General Marthinus Hukom as the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) following the retirement of Commissioner General Petrus Golose, whose term ended on 1 December 2023.
The official decision was made through a Presidential Decree No. 182/TPA/2023 on 29 November 2023, antaranews.com reported.
Ari Dwipayana, the Coordinator of the President's Special Staff, confirmed on Monday (4/12/2024) the development in a brief statement.
"President Jokowi has signed the presidential decree for the termination of Commissioner General Petrus Golose as the Head of BNN and the appointment of Inspector General Marthinus Hukom as the new Head of BNN," he said.
Geneal Hukom, known for his previous role as the Commander of the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s anti-terrorism unit, Densus 88, brought a wealth of experience to his new position. Notably, he played a key role in the capture of Bali bomber Ali Imron during his tenure as the Commander of Special Unit 88, a position he assumed on 1 May 2020.
