Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. North Lombok Sub-regional Police have arrested a 29-year-old Kazakhstan citizen,, who is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice for a double murder.
The suspect, identified by initials SS, was arrested on Tuesday, at a guesthouse in Senaru Village, Bayan District, following a coordinated investigation with the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s International Relations Division.
“This arrest is a follow-up to the Interpol Red Notice and a court decision from Atyrau City, Kazakhstan, dated 8 January 2026,” said North Lombok Police Chief Superintendent Agus Purwanta on Thursday (26/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Suspect SS is accused of involvement in a fatal incident that occurred in November 2025 in the Atyrau region, resulting in two deaths. During the raid, police also detained a 30-year-old Kazakh woman, identified as MA, whose legal status is currently being clarified.
Authorities seized passports, mobile phones, and international bank cards as evidence. The suspect remains in custody at the North Lombok Police Headquarters pending extradition proceedings through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
