Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has advised Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa to report any digital "gifts" received during TikTok live streams to avoid potential gratifications.
The reminder was made after a viral live session where the Minister appeared alongside his son, Yuda Purboyo Sunu, and received high-value virtual gifts, including "whales" virtual, animated items sent by viewers during live streams to show major appreciation, valued at over Rp 1 million.
“If there is any doubt, it should be consulted or reported. Reporting gratification is simple and can be done online via gol.kpk.go.id,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo on Thursday (26/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
While the KPK appreciated the Minister's awarness, they suggested he disable the gift feature in future broadcasts to prevent conflicts of interest.
Budi drew a parallel to the legendary integrity of the late former INP Chief General Hoegeng, who famously closed his wife’s flower shop to ensure customers weren't buying blooms simply to gain favor with a high-ranking official.
