He states that the scholars and leaders of Islamic Boarding schools have given everything for the state, particularly in educating the next generation of leaders of Indonesia. The prime example shown by them must be followed in building education for the future.

“What happens now is called emergency situations in educational institutions due to violence. All of us have to acknowledge this situation, not just Islamic Boarding School ,but all boarding-based education are experiencing this emergency situation, so we all have to band together in facing it,” says Muhaimin.

Muhaimin calls for all parties to join in working together to resolve the urgent matters, particularly parties from the Islamic Boarding School.

In his statement, violence against women and children are detrimental against the social public and the state. “Therefore, the National Santri Day also must be celebrated as the Anti-violence Day,” said Muhaimin.
