Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration is conducting a comprehensive review of safety standards in schools following the explosion at SMA 72 high school on Friday.
“We understand parents’ and families’ concerns. Let’s take this as a shared lesson to strengthen safety awareness in our environment,” said Deputy Governor Rano Karno after visiting injured students at Jakarta Islamic Hospital and Yarsi Cempaka Putih Hospital on Sunday (9/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He urged the public to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and support the “Jaga Jakarta” initiative to maintain public order. He emphasized that all emergency measures were handled transparently and promptly.
Classes at SMA 72 have temporarily shifted online to allow students to recover physically and mentally. The city will cover all medical expenses for the victims and has deployed health and education teams to provide psychological support.
