Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will curb illegal parking attendants who often operate in front of minimarkets. The new plan was conveyed by Head of Jakarta Transportation Office, Syafrin Liputo.

“We will communicate this matter with our colleagues from the Civil Service Police Unit in handling the illegal parking attendants in front of the minimarkets,” said Syafrin on Monday (5/6/2024).

For quite a long time, Syafrin has heard people complain about the illegal parking attendants, some of them even extort money with high amounts of price.

Syafrin further adds that according to the applicable regulations, the minimarket management are not permitted to charge the buyer for parking. Sadly, this regulation are taken advantage of by certain individuals who make the buyer pay for the parking.

According to Syafrin, currently the government will continue to strengthen the security and monitoring in minimarket to curb the illegal parking attendants.
