Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The IQAir has released a data that show the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Jakarta per Sunday (10/29/2023) is unhealthy. IQAir states that Jakarta AQI has reached 164, which is considered unhealthy, as the particulate matter 2.5 (PM) of Jakarta is also high. Reported by beritasatu, ideally AQI should be in between 0-50, or 51-100 for moderate level. As the AQI level reached beyond those numbers, the air quality then is considered hazardous. Moreover, according to the latest data, Jakarta is at the eight as the city with the worst air in the world, with Lahore City in Pakistan is the worst with AQI reaching up to 510. Official data from Environmental and Cleanliness Information System for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Service also states that around Lubang Buaya region in East Jakarta, the PM 2.5 has reached 123. This number shows the bad air quality for humans, sensitive animals, and environment with the damaging threats to nature and aesthetics aspects. Other than Lubang Buaya, Jakarta official states Bundaran HI, Kelapa Gading, and Jagakarsa air quality is considered moderate. (ad/ek/pr/nm)
