Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Jakarta has upgraded the alert status for the rising water level at the Fish Market Sluice Gate in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, from cautious, or alert III, to moderate, or alert II.
As of 11 pm on Tuesday (12/3/2024), the water level at the Fish Market Sluice Gate had reached 205 centimeters amidst light drizzle.
The water level began rising at 9 am, reaching 185 centimeters, and continued to climb to 190 centimeters an hour later under slightly overcast skies.
Residents in Marunda, Cilincing, Kalibaru, Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, and Kamal are advised to prepare for potential impacts from the rising water level.
The BPBD in Jakarta has undertaken various precautionary measures, including disseminating information via social media and notifying local officials.
