Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has ordered PT Transportasi Jakarta to penalize bus operators following a head-on collision on Corridor 13 in South Jakarta this Monday.
The Governor said that companies share responsibility for driver oversight and welfare after investigations linked the accident to human error and driver exhaustion.
“The operator must also be sanctioned and reprimanded. It is not just the driver who should face consequences; the operators responsible for training and supervision must be held accountable,” he said at City Hall on Tuesday (24/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The crash, involving two buses near Swadarma, left 24 passengers injured after a driver allegedly fell asleep following two consecutive days of work. While all victims have been discharged with minor injuries, the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have commenced a formal investigation.
TransJakarta confirmed it will cover all medical expenses. Service delays persisted on the Ciledug–Tegal Mampang route as authorities cleared the wreckage.
