Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration has issued a mandatory closure order for nightclubs, discotheques, steam baths or saunas, massage parlors, adult gaming arenas, and bars starting one day before Ramadan until two days after Eid al-Fitr 2026.
This policy, outlined in Official Announcement No. e-0038/PW.01.02/2026, aims to preserve the sanctity of the holy month and maintain public order.
"This regulation is not merely a restriction, but a proportional adjustment to ensure business continuity while respecting the religious values of the community," said Andhika Permata, the Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office, on Tuesday (17/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Exceptions are granted to businesses located within four- and five-star hotels or designated commercial zones, provided they are not adjacent to residential areas, houses of worship, schools, or hospitals.
