Investigators from the Subdirectorate of Corruption Crimes of the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police was schedule a summons for the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, in connection with a case of alleged extortion involving the former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto explained that the summons of the witness was  meant to determine his involvement. "If they are deemed suitable for examination and questioning as a witness, we will request their statement, and then we will see," he said on Friday (13/10/2023). On the other hand, the Director of Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak said that  Chairman Firli's questioning has been on schedule.
