Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Jambi Regional Police have arrested five suspects, including two police officers, for illegal tapping of PT Pertamina EP Jambi Fieldcrude oil pipelines in Muaro Jambi, 

The operation took place on Wednesday night at a trunk line connecting MGS KAS to MOS TPN in Desa Pondok Meja, where the suspects were caught siphoning crude oil.

“Both police officers have been arrested by the internal affairs division for questioning. If proven guilty of disciplinary, ethical, or criminal violations, they will face strict legal consequences,” said Senior Superintendent Amin Nasution, the Jambi Police Head of Public Relations, on Thursday (25/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

Authorities seized evidence including a 50-meter hose, tapping equipment, three trucks, one motorcycle, four mobile phones, two bank books, and police ID cards. 

All suspects are now in custody at Mestong Police.
