Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen won the women’s doubles title at the WTA 250 Guangzhou Open, partnering with Poland’s Katarzyna Piter to defeat Taiwan-Hong Kong duo Liang En-shuo and Eudice Chong 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 in Sunday’s final (26/10/2025).
“It was a tough match, but we stayed patient and trusted our game. Winning here means a lot, especially after the ups and downs of recent weeks,” she said after the victory, as quoted by the WTA, as reported by antaranews.com
The pair showcased resilience throughout the tournament, overcoming several seeded opponents despite frequently losing the opening set. The title adds to Janice’s impressive momentum following her singles triumph at the WTA 125 Jinan Open earlier this month, which lifted her to No. 80 in the world rankings.
Janice will next reunite with compatriot Aldila Sutjiadi at the WTA 250 Chennai, where they are set to face fellow Indonesian Priska Nugroho in the first round.
