Inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Serang Sub-regional Police have relocated 28 residents from eight households in Barengkok Village, Banten after exposure to radioactive contamination.
The residents were moved to a safe area in Bunian Village, Sukatani, as part of the second wave of evacuation efforts.
“Public safety remains our top priority. We ensure the evacuation runs smoothly and all basic needs of affected residents are met at the relocation site,” said Serang Police Chief Superintendent Condro Sasongko on Sunday (26/10/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The relocation was carried out using Banten Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Corps buses under tight police escort. All evacuees underwent medical checks at Cikande Health Center before departure. Upon arrival, they were placed in temporary shelters equipped with bedding, cooking utensils, food supplies, and prayer items.
Chief Condro, accompanied by local officers, also distributed food and clothing assistance. Authorities earlier evacuated 64 residents on 22 October 2025.
