Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Joint personnel from the Damai Cartenz Task Force and Bintang Mountains Sub-regional Police arrested two members of the East Bintang Mountains insurgent group in Oksibil on Sunday night to maintain regional stability.

The suspects, identified as EK (22) and RS (23), were intercepted on Kabiding Road following intensive surveillance. EK had been on the wanted list since 2022 for the murder of three motorcycle taxi drivers and multiple arson attacks on public facilities.

Investigation records reveal that RS is a recidivist previously convicted of theft. Both individuals are currently detained at the Bintang Mountains Police Headquarters for further interrogation regarding their involvement in a 2025 outpost attack.
