Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian President Joko Widodo, famously called Jokowi, inaugurates the bullet train of Jakarta-Bandung in Halim Station on Monday (10/2/2023). On that occasion, the president explains the name of the bullet train, WHOOSH. “It was inspired by the sounds of this trains makes when passing by so fast. And it is also an acrony for Waktu Hemat Operasi Optimal Sistem Hebat (Efficient Time Operation, Magnificent Optimized System). Once again, its spelled W, H, O, O, S, H, and pronounced whoosh,” explained Jokowi. Jokowi states that the bullet train is the mark of Indonesian transportation system transformation. The trains system is even integrated with other transportation and Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Jakarta-Bandung Bullet Train has three class for their service, which VIP class, Business class, and Economy Premium class. The VIP class has a maximum total passenger of 18, with business class 28, and Economy Premium 555 passengers. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
