inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo invites all state elements to unite and consolidate in a positive and optimistic outlook amidst uncertain global challenges.
President Jokowi emphasized the importance of unity in facing the current world situation.
He said that although Indonesia's economic growth is estimated to reach 2.7 to 2.8 percent next year, the average growth in the last decade has remained above 5 percent.
"These are the things we should be grateful for," said President Jokowi.
He also reminded the public not to forget to be grateful by looking at other state’s conditions.
"We often forget to be grateful, and we often don't see what is happening in other countries," explained President Jokowi.
He also highlighted the phenomenon where pessimistic thinking is becoming more mainstream, so efforts are needed to change this mindset.
"Now what must be done is to think positively, optimistically as pessimistic outlook has been going into the mainstream lately," President Jokowi said.
