They were criticized by the community due to how absurd their luxurious lifestyle of these police members, although their salary is not that much. Communications expert, Rahmat Edi Irawan, supports President Jokowi's statement. "Actually, there is already a regulation by the National Police Chief, which prohibits members of the Police from showing their luxurious lifestyle. Unfortunately, so far, this rule is still often abandoned," he explained.
