West Papua Police Continues to Pursue the Murderer of Trans Bintuni-Maybrat Workers

inp.polri.go.id -  The Director of West Papua Police Community Development, Commissioner Bagijo Hadi Kurnijanto, confirmed that he would continue to pursue the murderer of four civilians in Moskona, Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua. People who find the murderer are expected to immediately report to the nearest police station. "West Papua Regional Police ask for community support, to report to us if you found the murder as pictured in wanted poster, so that we can quickly arrest the murderer," said Commissioner Bagijo in a meeting with the Seven Tribe Indigenous Community Institution (LMA), Bintuni Bay, Friday (10/14). He also invited all elements of society and community leaders in Bintuni Bay not to be influenced by groups that are against the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The community is expected to continue to help and support the police to hunt down and find the murderer so that they can be brought to justice. "I invite community leaders to participate in realizing a safe and conducive situation in Bintuni Bay. Don't be easily provoked by those who wants to disturb our peace," added Commissioner Bagijo. The Seven Tribe Indigenous Community Institution of Teluk Bintuni supports the Indonesian Army and police in arresting the murder of four workers of the Trans Bintuni-Maybrat Road, Majnik Village, Moskona on September 29, 2022. "We fully support the West Papua Police in hunting down and arresting the murderer from the armed criminal groups in the local area," said Chairman of the LMA Seven Tribe Indigenous Community Institution of Teluk Bintuni, Martem Werfim.
