inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo used the term “soft-working” on his first official working day at the Nusantara Capital City (IKN)Presidential Palace.

“Well we could say that I am ‘soft-working’ now as there are still construction workers here,” said Jokowi on Monday (7/29/2024).

Jokowi says that the construction of IKN Presidential Palace is still ongoing as thousands of workers are working to finish the building. Therefore, Jokowi jokingly used the term “soft-working” as there are still many construction workers around the building.

The president told that construction workers often have to stop their work when Jokowi was about to review certain areas. The construction had to stop their work due to security reasons. On the other hand, Jokowi also doesn’t want to disturb the construction workers on their work.

On his first day working at his new office in IKN, Jokowi held the first official meeting with IKN Authority and the East Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum to discuss various topics.
